本展は、弊画廊の2020年度新年最初の展示となります。
本展覧会名の“Preface-プリフェイス”とは物語の序章という意味があります。弊画廊の一年間の展示全てをひとつの物語として例え、年明け最初の展示をその物語の始まりとし、その始まりを予見させる序章（Preface）として本展を企画しました。本展ではこの序章（Preface）を飾るのに相応しい弊画廊選抜による実力派アーティスト3-4人による選抜展となります。既存の価値観や枠組みに囚われないアーティストを紹介することにより次なる物語の序章（Preface）を予見させるような新しいアートの価値観と方向性を提示したいと思います。


This exhibition will be the first exhibition of our gallery in the New Year 2020. The name of this exhibition “Preface” means the beginning of the story. All exhibitions in our gallery of the last year are considered as one story, and the first exhibition of the new year is the beginning of the next story. For this exhibition 3-4 talented artists were selected by our gallery to decorate the preface. We would like to present new values and directions for art that are leading the preface of the next story by introducing artists who are not bound by the existing values and frameworks.

    彫刻家、画家の母の影響で３歳より描き始める。
    2006年国費留学で来日。2013年大阪大学博士号（日本文化）取得。
    2014年より自然をモチーフにした抽象画を描き始める。
    水彩画用紙にアクリルガッシュを使った即興のタッチで仕上げるのが特徴。
    故郷ヴェネツィアンガラスのような鮮やかな色合いと日本の四季が作り出す自然を掛け合わせた作品をその時々の感情にゆだねて描く。
    また絵画以外にも、原画の複製を用いたクラフトレジンによるアクセサリーも制作している。

    I’m an Italian self-taught artist living in Kobe, Japan.
    I was born in Venice. I’ve been painting since I was a child and started painting under the influence of my mother who also has been painting and making sculptures for many years.
    I majored in Japanese language and literature and came in Japan in 2006 by winning a scholarship offered by the Japanese Government. In 2013 got a doctoral degree in Japanese philosophy at Osaka University.
    Started painting abstract paintings in 2014. I largely use the acrylics but also love trying and using different painting media and techniques. My works are a mixture between the bright Italian colors of venetian glass and the sensitivity of the Japanese nature and landscapes (changing from season to season). Painting is for me a sort of meditation and I usually paint in a state of presence (even when I work on commissioned pieces).
    I also make original accessories by using the prints of original paintings of mine.

    　子供の頃、海で集めた珊瑚や貝殻を畑に持って行き、土に押しつけ模様を作って遊びました。あの頃の記憶を呼び戻し、昔の自分に会いに行く為に、パズルのピースを１つ１つ作っています。優しさや、温かさを追い求め続けたけれど、壊れやすくてコントロールし難いものはいつも心を満たしてくれない。刺激や気持ちよさの裏側にある欲に負けた時、本当に欲しかったものに気付けた気がする。

    作品コメント

    シロツメクサは、静かに咲いている。ブロック塀にへばり付く蔦も静かに、増殖していく。静かにのみこまれていく。
