田中祥太は、人間の心の世界・精神の世界をテーマに絵画作品を制作しています。
視覚では捉えられないが確かにそこに存在している心の世界。その中で常に湧き起こり、消えていく思考・感情・感覚・記憶の断片。人を悩ませ、時には人を喜ばせたりと自在に姿形を変え、まるで生き物のように暴れ回るそれらは、そもそも一体何なのか？田中の根底にあるのは「人が生きるにはなぜ苦悩が付き纏うのか？」という疑問です。
田中は自己の内面（内的空間）とそこに起こる現れを対象とし、捉えどころなく躍動する心の世界を抽象的なスタイルで描くことで、対象を絵画という異なった形でこの世界に現出させようと試みます。
作品は主に３種類の要素から構成されています。第１の要素は偶然性です。独自の技法で意図しない模様を描き出します。
そして、そこで現れる面が第２の要素となる抽象的表現です。また、第３の要素は宇宙空間を思わせるような作風です。これらは田中にとって心や精神の世界を表現するための重要な要素になります。
今回の展示は、独自の技法を用いて描いた特徴的な模様のレイヤーを重ね、描いていく過程で浮かび上がってくる模様や色彩が織り成す偶然性を取り入れた作風で、対象となる自己の内面世界とその中で湧き起こる思考・感情・感覚・記憶の断片の躍動を描いたアクリル画のシリーズを中心に展示します。

Shota Tanaka creates paintings on the theme of the world of the human mind and spirit.
It is a world of mind that can’t be seen visually, but exists there. Fragments of thoughts, feelings, sensations, and memories that constantly boil and disappear. What are these people who change their form freely, sometimes annoying people and sometimes pleasing them, and rampage like living creatures?
At the root ofTanaka focuses on the inner surface (internal space) of himself and the manifestations that occur in mind that is elusive and energetic in an abstract style, targeting the inner surface (internal space) of self and the appearance.
His work mainly consists of three types of elements. The first factor is chance. He draws an unintended pattern with his original technique. The surface that appears there is the second element, an abstract expression. The third element is a style reminiscent of outer space. These are important elements for Tanaka to express the world of mind and spirit.
In this exhibition, a series of acrylic paintings depicting the dynamics of fragments of thought, emotion, feeling, and memory are exhibited. A style that incorporates the contingency of the patterns and colors that emerge in the process of drawing are to be introduced.
