” 心象”とは、心に浮かぶイメージのことを意味し、体験や感情、感覚によって生み出される想像上の風景で心象風景ともいわれます。 現代では、風景から広告まで多様なイメージや異なる人種、文化、価値観が存在するため、個人にうまれる心象風景は様々で異なります。急速な変化の中で、価値観や文化は、統合と分化を繰り返し世界認識を更新しています。その様な豊かでカオスな世界を、アーティストたちは彼らの持つ様々な視点や識見から静かに観察し芸術へと昇華し、イメージを相対化させていきます。そうして生み出される現代アートには、世界認識の表象に対して再考の起点となる役割があるともいえます。現代アートは現代社会にかかわる種々の領域の問題に対し、多様性のあり方を提示します。 本展ではアート·ポイント選抜による現代アーティストたちの心象をテーマとしアーティストたちの心象世界に触れ現代アートと社会との関わりや本質を再考します。

“The term ‘mental imagery’ refers to the images that emerge in the mind—imaginary landscapes shaped by experiences, emotions, and sensations, also known as ‘mental landscapes’ . In today’s world, where diverse images, different races, cultures, and values coexist, the mental landscapes formed within individuals vary widely. Amid rapid change, values and cultures undergo cycles of integration and differentiation, continuously reshaping our perception of the world. Artists, observing this rich and chaotic world from their unique perspectives and insights, quietly transform their observations into art, relativizing images in the process. Contemporary art, born from this creative process, serves as a starting point for reevaluating how we perceive the world. It offers perspectives on the various issues facing contemporary society, presenting different ways of understanding diversity. This exhibition, curated by Art Point, focuses on the theme of mental imagery as expressed by selected contemporary artists. By engaging with their inner worlds, we invite viewers to reconsider the relationship between contemporary art and society, as well as its fundamental essence.”
