感情は心の中で複雑な形を成して、結論づけられた言葉として表出された時、わたしたちは初めてそれを”感情”と認識します。
感情は一つの言葉で表すにはあまりにも多面的であり、体験や思考といった要素が違えば、同じ言葉としてある感情も心の中での認識は別物となります。
映画や小説において、全く同じ境遇ではないのに人が共感してしまうのは、その感情に至る経緯に似たものを感じ取るからではないでしょうか。
こうした言葉にできないような複雑な部分を表現できることは芸術の強みの一つです。美術においてはそれを視認し、間近で鑑賞、空間にいることでより肌で感じれます。
美術にとって共感は、作家と鑑賞者が作品を通して重なるための大事な要の一つであり、美術が心の核に直接コンタクトを図るコミュニケーションの一環だということをお越しになった鑑賞者たちへの気づき、再見となることを本展覧会の目的としています。
本展覧会では弊画廊が選抜した作家自身の体験、思考、感情を主にモチーフとしている作家を迎え、どれか一つにでも作品に共感を得るような空間づくりを展望いたします。


When emotions form complex shapes within our hearts and are expressed in the form of concluded words, it is only then that we recognize them as “emotions.” Emotions are too multifaceted to be encapsulated in a single word; the recognition of the same emotion in our hearts can vary greatly depending on factors such as experience and thought processes.
In movies and novels, people empathize even when they are not in the exact same circumstances because they perceive similarities in the journey to that emotion.
One of the strengths of art is its ability to express such complex, inexpressible parts. In visual art, this can be perceived, closely observed, and felt more deeply by being in the space where the artwork is displayed.
Empathy is one of the crucial elements that allows the artist and the viewer to connect through the artwork, and it serves as a reminder to the visitors that art is a form of communication that directly contacts the core of the heart.
The purpose of this exhibition is to provide visitors with an awareness and a renewed understanding that empathy in art is a key aspect of this communication.
In this exhibition, we welcome artists selected by our gallery, whose works primarily reflect their own experiences, thoughts, and emotions. We aim to create a space where visitors can find resonance with at least one of the artworks.
