“Doors -扉-”は、時に遮り、時に外部との繋がりを生む「遮断と解放」といった、相反する役割を持ちながら私たちの生活にのなかに遍在します。
内部空間と外部空間をつなぐ唯一の懸け橋である“扉”。望むときにのみ望まれたものにだけその侵入を許し、望まないとき望まないものには出入りを許さない。
そういった働きにはまるでそのもの自体に力が宿っているようにさえ感じられます。一つ一つの扉にそれぞれの特徴があり、それは物体全体の印象をも左右してしまいます。
扉がもたらす繋がりもまた無限大であります。日々の出会いや人間関係における些細な出来事、現代を生きる私たちの生活の一部ともいえるインターネット、どの世界においても扉は我々に際限のない無限の開放を与えているといえます。
DOORs展では「扉」の持つそういった様々な意味合い・力に目を向ける傑出したアーティストによる作品を展観します。
メディアの多様化により無数の扉が周囲に偏在し、そのありようは氾濫ともいえる今日。「アート」という表現を媒介にした心象世界に意識を向け、心の扉を全開にしてひとり一人のアーティストの作品の中での命の息吹を感じていただければ幸いです。

“Doors” are ubiquitous in our lives, having conflicting roles such as “blocking and liberation”, which sometimes blocks and sometimes creates connections with the outside world.
The “door” is the only bridge that connects the interior and exterior spaces. Only allow the intrusion of what is desired only when desired, and do not allow entry or exit of what is not desired when not desired.
It even feels like there is power in such work. Each door has its own characteristics, which also affect the impression of the entire object.
The connections that the door brings are also infinite. Whether it’s the trivial events of daily encounters or relationships, the Internet, which is part of our lives today, the doors give us no limit and infinite liberation in any world.
At the DOORs exhibition, we turn our eyes on the various meanings and powers of “doors” and exhibit works by outstanding artists.
Due to the diversification of the media, innumerable doors are unevenly distributed around us, which can be said to be flooding today. We hope that you will focus on the imaginary world through the expression “art”, open the door in your heart, and feel the breath of life in each artist’s work.
