ゆめぎわの美人画

makuraの作品は幻想なのかノスタルジーなのか、 よくわからない。そのような枠には収まりきれない 世界観を感じさせる。
どこかで見たような気がするが、 記憶をたどっても見たことはないので 混乱が生じる。そのことが魅力となっている。
女性の上半身の作品が多いが、驚くべきことに 毎回新鮮な感動がある。 すべて個別の印象を与えるため、マンネリとは無縁だ。
makuraは私たちを迷宮に誘いこんで離さない。 まるでマリオネットのように操られ惑わされ、 女たちの眼差しに酔いしれるのだ。

Women in the Dreams

Is makura’s work an illusion or a nostalgia? You cannot tell. Can’t fit in such a frame. It makes you feel the bizarre perspective.
You feel like you saw it somewhere, You haven’t seen it even after tracing your memory. There is confusion. That is what makes it attractive.
Many of makura’s works are women portraits, but surprisingly there is a fresh impression every time you encounter. Everything gives an individual impression, so it has nothing to do with redundancy.
makura invites us into the labyrinth and leaves us. Manipulated and misled like a marionette, drawing in the eyes of the women.
