石井智菜美はグラデーションを多用した鮮やかな水彩画と0.28mmのペンによる点描画を融合させた繊細で幻想的な作風が特徴です。
油彩・アクリル・抽象など様々な画材・技法による独学での試行錯誤を経て現在は自然が持つ人為的ではない美しい色彩や自身の経験に基づく内面的な情動などにインスピレーションを得て理想の色彩表現を探求しています。
大まかな配色を決めた後はアドリブ的に色彩のバランスを変えていくのが主な手法で、工程がペンに移ると意識は作品から離れ深く潜り込むようになり蓄積された重厚感が点描として反映されるようになります。
作品の殆どで描かれている流動的な花弁や植物が絡みついた人物に特定のモデルは存在せず、光のない瞳や眉がなく表情すら持たない存在は人間というよりもむしろ「エモーションの具象化」と位置づけられています。
根底には「個々の感情には正解がなく、無数に存在する選択肢のように作品にも想像の余地を持たせたい」という願いがあります。
今回の展示では2019年から2020年にかけての新旧12点を展示します。

Chinami Ishii is a painter who draws delicate and fantastic pictures that combine vivid watercolors with many gradations and dot painting with a 0.28mm pen.
Ishii began to study painting with the watercolor pencils given to her by her mother on her 16th birthday. At the age of 27, Ishii decided to pursue painting.
After trial and error by self-study with various painting materials and techniques such as oil painting, acrylic painting, abstraction, etc., the ideal color is inspired by beautiful unnatural colors of nature and inner emotions based on her own experience.
After deciding the rough color scheme, the main method is to change the color balance in an ad-lib manner. When the process shifts to the pen, the consciousness goes away from the work deeply and the accumulated solid feeling is reflected as a stippling.
There is no specific model for the person in which most of the works are entwined with fluid petals and plants, and the existence of eyes without eyes, eyebrows, and even facial expressions is positioned as more like “a representation of emotion”.
The underlying idea is that there is no right answer for each emotion, and I want my work to have imagination like the infinite number of choices.
In this exhibition, 12 her new and old works from 2019 to 2020 will be exhibited.
